Job Title: Legal Support Specialist
Location: Larkspur, CA
Salary: $70,000 - $95,000 annually
Our client, a well-established law firm in Larkspur, is looking to hire a Legal Support Specialist to assist their busy team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to contribute to a dynamic legal environment. While experience in insurance subrogation or insurance defense is preferred, it is not required. The firm seeks someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and can efficiently support attorneys managing large caseloads.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, file, and schedule legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and notices, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Draft notices of inspections/examinations and various legal reports.
Manage electronic calendars by entering important court dates, deadlines, and reminders.
File legal documents with both state and federal courts in Illinois and other jurisdictions as needed.
Organize and maintain both electronic and paper case files for easy retrieval and reference.
Summarize case documents and generate clear reports to support attorney efforts.
Assist in compiling damage summaries and demand packets for settlement purposes.
Qualifications:
Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with court filing procedures and legal documentation.
Proactive, with the ability to take initiative and anticipate the needs of the legal team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
